Commemorating The International Day For The Elimination Of Racism

LANGLEY – Building Inclusivity in Langley: Commemorating the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination event held at Muriel Arnason Library on Thursday, March 22, 2012 was a huge success.

Township of Langley Councillors Charlie Fox, Grant Ward, Kim Richter, and Steve Ferguson as well as Mel Kositsky, Robert Gabriel, Manager, ISSofBC, Shar Dubas, the founder of Langley International Festival Society, Jim Tallman, and Muriel Arnason’s daughter Petrina Arnason joined several other people to celebrate this day.

It was a special event organized to support the worldwide movement towards ending racism and building a society where no one is held back because of who they are, or where they come from.

The event was organized by Township of Langley, Abbotsford Community Services, and Muriel Arnason Library. At the end of the program, Community Librarian Dr. Sarwan Singh Randhawa thanked the audience and volunteers.
