After her criticallyacclaimed and commerciallysuccessful film Zindagi NaMilegi Dobara, filmmakerZoya Akhtar is working on hernext script wherein she willprobably cast real-life cousinsKareena Kapoor and RanbirKapoor as reel-life brother andsister.This bit of information isalready known.However, what is still awell-kept secret is the fact thatthis film could actually be anautobiographical one, and isbased on the lives of theAkhtar siblings Zoya andFarhan.While one insider confirms,”Zoya’s next is a filmbased on Farhan and her growingup years.
”Another one adds, “Thefilm is not really a blow-byblowaccount of Farhan andZoya’s growing up years.It is a very sensitive scriptand is based on siblings.Only it draws liberally onsome of the emotional conflictsand the bondinginstances in Zoya and Farhan’sreal life.
“Talking about the script,Kareena Kapoor had told usearlier, “I’m very keen thatZoya finishes her script soon.I’m constantly in touch withher.It’s a terrific script, and I’mdying to work with Ranbir.”Of course even Kareenaprobably doesn’t know, or convenientlyforgot to tell us thatthe brother-sister script isreportedly based on an autobiographicalaccount of theAkhtar brother-sister duo.
Zoya and Farhan are a yearapart and Kareena is two yearsolder than Ranbir.One also hears that thoughKareena and Ranbir are thefirst names that come to mindfor a project such as this, insiderssay that the casting is stillwide open.Zoya remained unavailablefor comment.
