Indo-Canadians Offer $5,000 Reward For Attackers Who Beat Up Indo-Canadian Security Guard

SURREY – A group of Indo-Canadians from Surrey and Vancouver is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects in connection with an assault on an elderly Indo-Canadian security guard in Port Coquitlam.

Hakam Bhullar, along with Rajvir Singh Jhand, Jaswinder Parmar, Kuldip Singh and others, are each pitching in money for the reward. None of them know the victim of the assault, 64-year-old Hoshiar Singh Bajwa, also a Surrey resident, reported the Surrey Leader newspaper.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 14 three men attacked Hoshiar Bajwa as he patrolled the construction site at Pitt River middle school. He suffered extensive injuries, with large lacerations across his face, and is now recovering at home.

Earlier this week, Coquitlam RCMP released photos of two jackets found near the scene of the assault, which they believe were worn by the suspects.

Officers are hoping anyone who recognizes the jackets will come forward with information about the incident and call 604-945-1550 with file number 2012-28845.Port Coquitlam – In the early morning of Sunday October 14th, Hoshiar Bajwa, a 64 year-old on duty security guard, was viciously assaulted by a group of unknown males in the construction site just south of Pitt River Middle School.

Two pieces of clothing were found near the scene and investigators believed they’re associated to the persons of interest related to this file.

“Our investigators continue to scour through the material we collected so far for evidence,” said Corporal Jamie Chung. “These jackets are pretty unique when you put them together. We are hoping someone can come forward with information on the owners of the jackets,”
