After a bitter divorce that was muchpublicised on reality TV, Delnaaz Irani isback toher first love — theatre. And ironically,her comeback play is titled Marriages WereMade In Heaven.Delnaaz, who has already started rehearsingfor the play, says, “I have doneplays in English, Hindi and Gujarati.Thereis no substitute for the live reaction fromthe audience. Theatre gives me immensesatisfaction, but television and films aredefinitely on. The play explores marriage ina funny way and conveys a social message.It’s presented like a film and I get to grooveto popular Bollywood numbers, which I reallyenjoy.
“So, is she open to the idea of tying theknot again? Says the actress, “I am disillusionedby the thought of marriage, but Ibelieve there are certain things in our culturewhich will always be sacred and marriageis one of them. I have a few friendswho are happily married.”
