MUMBAI – Having worked in most departments of the film industry, he started out as a director and has gone on to work as an actor, singer and producer, Farhan Akhtar sure knows how hard it is for actors to juggle their busy schedules. And it is this understanding nature of his that has impressed Richa Chadha.
Farhan has offered a flexible schedule to Richa for their next film, Fukrey, giving her enough time to rest before she starts dubbing for the film.
“I am working night shifts for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed Ram Leela, which also stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. So for the dubbing of Fukrey, Farhan calls me only during the second half of the day. That way, I can rest a bit before going for the dubbing. He has been extremely understanding and considerate of my hectic schedule,” says Richa. “I love Farhan and Ritesh (Sidhwani, co-founder of Excel Entertainment). They are the best producers as they treat actors with a lot of respect.”
Richa is not only happy with Farhan and Ritesh but is also happy to have got the chance to work with their production house. “In Fukrey, I play the negative lead. It is a very important role. I hope that people will like my part and the film. Moreover, this is Excel’s only release this year, so I feel fortunate to be part of the film,” says the actor.
