JALANDHAR – Victims of1984 massacre of Sikhs and AllIndia Sikh Students Federationhave announced to hold aJustice Rally before the office ofUN Resident Coordinator inDelhi on International HumanRights Day, that falls onDecember 10 – to highlightdenial of justice to the victimsfor 29 years and the impunitywith which the guilty Congressleaders were being rewarded.Announcing this here on Friday,federation president KarnailSingh Peermohammad said thata delegation would also meetUN Resident coordinator LisaGrande and submit the detailsof how Congress leaders havebeen protected and rewarded bythe successive governments.”Giving ticket to taintedCongress leader Sajjan Kumar’sson Jag Parvesh reflects thatCongress was continuing thepolicy of rewarding the perpetratorsas ticket to his son hadapparently been given at hisbehest,” said Peermohammad.He said that a copy of complaintfiled with United NationsHuman Rights Council(UNHRC), in which the Sikhgroups had demanded investigationof the massacre and recognitionas genocide have beensought, would also be given toGrande by the victims’ delegation.Peermohamad had playedinstrumental role in getting onemillion signatures on genocidepetition.”The rally is being held to tellthe global community that justicewas being denied to the haplessvictims by the justice deliverysystem of India,” he said.
