Tata has retained its top place amongIndian brands and its global ranking hasalso improved from 39th in 2013 to 34thnow.

LONDON – Diversified conglomerateTata group was on Tuesday declaredIndia’s most valuable brand with a valueof US$ 21.1 billion, while US-based technologygiant Apple has retained its topposition globally with about US$ 105 billion.According to a list released today ofworld’s 500 most valued brand, BrandFinance Global 500, Apple is followed bySamsung (US$ 79 billion) at second placeglobally. In the top-ten, these two are followedby Google, Microsoft, Verizon,GE, AT&T, Amazon, Walmart and IBM.Tata has retained its top place amongIndian brands and its global ranking hasalso improved from 39th in 2013 to 34thnow. However, the number of Indiancompanies on the list has declined to fivefrom six. Other than Tata, the globalranking of all other four Indian companieshas dropped and they include SBI(347th), Airtel (381), Reliance Industries(413) and Indian Oil (474).
