Prem Singh Chandumajra, who wasfielded from Patiala last time, has beenshifted to Anandpur Sahib this time.Pawan Kumar Tinoo has been nominatedfrom Jalandhar, while Kulwant Singh willbe the party nominee from FatehgarhSahib.A significant development is that formerminister Ranjit Singh Brahmpura has beenmade candidate from the Khadoor SahibLok Sabha constituency in place of sittingMP Rattan Singh Ajnala. There was a bigcontroversy over drug smuggling in theborder belt. To avoid the fallout of thatcontroversy in the Lok Sabha elections,Brahmpura has been fielded fromKhadoor Sahib, sources said.Harsimrat Kaur’s re-nomination wasnever in doubt. Last time, she defeatedRaninder Singh, son of former ChiefMinister Amarinder Singh, with animpressive margin.
