Surrey’s Tamanawis Wildcates, the number one seed at the BC High School Championships, made history this week when they beat Burnaby South 74-60 and advanced to the final four.  The senior team has never made it this far before.  The team has 15 Punjabi boys out a 18 man roster that recently won the Fraser Valley Championship.  They have their eyes set on the Provincial title. The team, which is coached by Mike Mckay and Mr.Grewal, has 18 players and 15 of them are Punjabi. Team is lead by star player Sukhjot Bains. Good luck in the Provincials

Tamanawis’s junior Wildcats Grade 9 Boys basketball team, which is also dominated by Punjabi boys, also made some noise by coming in second place in the BC Provincial games. This year was a hard season for the boys but everyone is proud of how well the boys played in the last season game.  No doubt they will be back attempting to take the title next year. The team is coached by Mr. Singh.
