Vancouver Woman Attacked In Tattoo Shop

Vancouver – A Vancouver manfaces assault charges afterallegedly attacking a woman at atattoo parlour on Monday. Theattack was over a dispute involving$15.The attack, caught onsurveillance video that has beenuploaded to YouTube, shows aman knocking a woman to theground and kicking her twice inthe face. Jojo Geronimo, ownerof LooksWow Face and BodyArt at International VillageMall, has cuts on her cheek andbruises on her chest.Geronimo said she was attackedat about 1 p.m. when a customershowed up after being told thathis Thursday appointment hadbeen cancelled. She said sherefused to return the $15 he’dpaid for a previous tattoo touchup.The accused, Byron ThomasHobbs, 31, was released fromcustody but was scheduled toappear in VancouverCommunity Court this pastweek. Hobbs has previousassault charges dating back to2003 in Salmon Arm, BC,according to online courtrecords.
