On April 19th during the SurreyNagar Kirtan, the Guru NanakFree Kitchen is planning a bottledrive to help raise awarenessabout recycling and to help leavethe streets clean after the nagarkirtan. GNKF is a volunteerbiased organization that is notaffiliated or funded by any religiousinstitutions and/or governmentbodies. Relying solelyon the community for food andother items for their events, theGuru Nanak Free Kitchen feedsapproximately 3500 people amonthWith a minimum of 15 markedrecycling stations along thenagar kirta route, GNFK arerequesting the sangaat to notthrow away their valuable recyclableslikes bottles and cans,but rather find a recycling stationalong the route and dropthem in the bins provided.Volunteers are asked to participatein this event by supervisingat the allocated stations.
