OBITUARY – Sardar Narinder Singh Bhullar

It is with great sadness that the Bhullar family share that Sardar Narinder Singh Bhullar, 70yrs old, village Zira, District Firozpur, Punjab, passed away June 10th. He arrived in Canada in 1972 and lived primarily in New Westminster, and later in Surrey.

Narinder Singh was a dedicated Amritdhari Sikh that shared his beliefs with the generations that followed as well as all those blessed to know him.

He is survived by his loving wife Joginder Kaur, daughter Sonia Kaur (Gurjit Singh Brar), son Yadevinder Singh (Harminder Kaur), and son Jaiinder Singh. Grandchildren Roopriya Kaur, Himat Singh, Joraver Singh, and Nidhan Singh.

Narinder Singh, a dedicated sewadar, was tirelessly involved in many organizations, including elected board of director for 25 years at Community Savings Credit Union (IWA), Royal City Taxi Board of Directors for 3 years and president for one year. A founder of Vancouver Taxi.  At Khalsa Diwan Society, Sukh Sagar Gurdwara New Westminster, Narinder Singh held different elected board positions including vice president. An active member of Khalsa Credit Union from its inception. One of his proudest positions was as a ten year Board of Director (from 2004 to present) at Khalsa School, where his children and now grandchildren attend.  He was always happiest when he was involved in the betterment of others.

Narinder Singh will forevermore live in our hearts. His love for life, family and sewa will be everlasting through all of us.

The Bhullar family welcome you to attend the funeral on Sunday, June 15th at 3pm at Five Rivers Funeral Home, Delta. Following, there will be a Bhog at Khalsa School Old Yale Road Campus, located at 10677 – 124th Ave, Surrey.
