MANSA – The police have found two teenage girls belonging to Gujarat who were allegedly kidnapped by their teacher around two years ago.

The police have arrested the accused, Harish Chandra of Budhlada town in the district.

The police said the girls were allegedly kidnapped by the accused on July 23, 2012 from Rajkot. The accused took the girls to different states before settling in Budhlada where he started working as an English teacher in a private school.

The accused, a divorcee, had allegedly lured the girls on the pretext of marriage. He even married one of the girls in a temple in Kalka a few months ago.

Sources said the accused knew at least five languages — Hindi, English, Punjabi, Gujarati and Kannad.

“The girls have been sent to Nari Niketan in Jalandhar,” said Station House Officer of Budhlada.

The victims’ family has been informed about the development. A case had already been registered against the accused under Sections 363 and 366 of the IPC at a police station in Gujarat.

The Guajrat police had been tracing the accused for the past two years.
