Her brother Ashmit Patel had participated in `Bigg Boss 4` and was in the news for his link-up with co-contestant and Pakistani actress Veena Malik.

Manosn mr Ȟd a complaint against Aamir, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and promoters of the film under section 292 of the IPC, for obscenity. Manoj Kumar said, “When I received a copy of the newspaper I was shocked with the poster. Newspaper reaches crores of people, including children and the elderly.”

In Mumbai a talking standee of the poster was removed from the front of a theatre after a group of women alleged that it was too obscene to display in public. Most recently, Congress party MLA from Ville Parle, Mumbai, Krishna Hegde took it upon himself to ‘clothe’ the poster. He and a group of his followers put a t-shirt and a shorts on a ‘PK’ poster.   MLA Krishna Hegde said, “Aamir Khan is a good actor and hosts Satyameva Jayate. These posters are distasteful and against Indian culture. They create a wrong impression in the minds of families and youngsters who consider him an icon.” However he was quick to clarify that it was not an attempt at moral policing but sending out a message that such posters are not necessary to bring publicity to a popular actor like Aamir Khan.

Aamir Khan on the other hand has defended the poster by saying it is ‘key art’. The actor has said, “When you (audience) will watch the film then only you will be able to understand the idea behind (the poster). But I would just like to say that the kind of filmmaker, the kind of writer Rajkumar is, he always tries to present the things, his thinking, in a unique way and that’s why I am his huge fan.”
