Emraan Hashmi has shared a cordial relationship with his uncle Mahesh Bhatt, it seems that currently all is not well between them. At present Emraan is involved with ‘Mr. X’, directed by Vikram Bhatt and produced by Mahesh Bhatt. The Bhatt camp wanted to wrap the film as soon as possible but Emraan upset all their plans by allotting 10 full days to the promotion of his upcoming film ‘Raja Natwarlal’. Emraan’s decision of choosing another film instead of his project under the ‘family’ banner has made Mahesh Bhatt unhappy. The makers are now compelled to ask for new dates from other cast members of ‘Mr. X’.

When contacted by the media Mahesh Bhatt said, “He did inform me about this change in plans but he still caught me off-guard. Without taking away from his efforts, I have to say that I am the architect of Brand Emraan. We are his parent company and deserve his loyalty more than anyone else.”  Emraan Hashmi has also expressed his views on the situation. He said, “Bhattsaab has been and always will be my mentor. But he forgets that he was the one who told me that in the end only success matters, be it through fair or foul means. I am going all out for Raja Natwarlal as it is a good film and I want it to succeed. Bhattsaab should be happy because I am following his teachings.”

‘Raja Natwarlal’ is directed by Kunal Deshmukh, another former protégé of Mahesh Bhatt. The film is a crime comedy revolving around a conman who tries to sell a cricket team to a rich man. Talking about the film, Emraan has said, “Raja Natwarlal has everything that a film needs. It has songs, drama, a great love story and kisses too. There is lot of scope for drama and romance in Raja Natwarlal.” The actor has completed a decade in Bollywood but feels that his image is more or less the same. He said, “My image is still the same, but I do films like Ek Thi Dayaan, Shanghai and Ghanchakkar. Every actor gets an image in front of audience, but as an actor one should get out of it and do risky things.”  When asked about his much talked about ‘serial kisser’ tag, he said, “The things what I do these amateurs can’t do.. I know they mean well, I know they put in their hard work… but I have like 1000 hours of experience compared to like 10 hours of theirs”
