MUKTSAR – Seven days after the suspension of former Congress Working Committee (CWC) member Jagmeet Singh Brar from the party for his alleged “irresponsible and highly undesirable utterances”, two former Congress MLAs and a former district Congress president came out in his support today.
Jagmeet’s younger brother Ripjit Singh Brar (an ex-MLA from Kotkapura), Vijay Sathi (ex-MLA from Moga) and Gurdas Girdhar (former president of the district Congress Committee, Muktsar) said, “The real issue that Jagmeet Brar raised after sensing the pulse of Congress workers will prove beneficial for the party in future.”
They have sent a copy of their joint statement to AICC president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi.
They sought support from Congress leaders and asked them to stand united.
