KHAMANO – A resident of Barwali Kalan village allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife and a minor son. The deceased have been identified as Daljit Singh (27), his wife Rajdeep Kaur (25) and three-year-old son Harmehtab Singh.
The Khamano police have recovered a suicide note wherein the accused had held himself responsible for the deaths. The police said Daljit first murdered his wife and his son with a sharp weapon last night. He then committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan.
The police said Daljit Singh left three copies of suicide notes. He had stated that he was working as a driver of an ambulance van and was upset over the condition of the patients who did not have enough money for their treatment. He had also mentioned that he was depressed over the videos appearing in social media showing the killings of innocent people by militants in Iraq.
