Why Should We Suffer?
Members of the Indo-Canadian community held another rally last Saturday under their “Walk For Half Million BC Kids’ Education” at Surrey’s Holland Park to seek an end to the ongoing teachers strike. Who’s to blame in this stalemate? Many feel the government but most parents just want their children in classrooms, learning and going about their schooling. The two sides are talking again but there is also talk the government is leaning towards legislating teachers back to work! Not the solution that arbitration would bring and the messy school environment will continue if that happens!
