We hear reports that the song took almost 15 days to get cleared by the Censors!

Though we might be grooving to Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan’s crazy Khoobsurat song Maa Ka Phone, not many know that the song almost got embroiled in a controversy with the Censor Board of Film Certification!

The Board accused the makers of the song for having lyrics with double meaning. According to the CBFC, “Teri Ma Ka Phone” could also be misconstrued as an inappropriate phrase.

The examining committee at the CBFC held the song for a duration of 15 days before giving it a clean chit a day before its release!

A source close to the proceedings said, “There is a pause between Teri Maa Ka andPhone and that is the reason it was referred to the Revising Committee (RC).” But after revaluation of the track, the song was passed.
