SURREY – Surreyites craving for more than butter chicken will get a special treat of the Original Tandoori Kings of Comedy for one night only on November 8 at Surrey’s Bell Performing Arts Centre.
Promoters South Asian Arts say the Original Tandoori Kings of Comedy will be an unforgettable evening of in-your-face hilarity featuring two phenomenally funny guys – Sunee Dhaliwal and Hollywood Harv.
Both comics have played to sold-out houses in multiple cities (Hollywood Harv recently performed to a capacity crowd at Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre), and, thanks to the reach of Comedy Central and YouTube videos, they’ve each built legions of adoring fans across the globe.
“Expect irreverence. Expect sidesplitting observations. Expect clichés to be tossed and turned until nothing and everything makes sense. Expect to laugh until you cry. Expect the unexpected,” they said in a press release
It’s in English and the show is for everyone – well, everyone over the age of 18, that is.
The MC for the evening will be Munish Sharma of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Chicken! fame, who will kick off the show with his own unique brand of smart and yummy stand-up. Sharma will be followed by the lone female comedian of the night, the award-winning comedienne Ash Dhawan!
You can’t have a stand-up show without music. In between sets, a DJ will spin some of the hottest Hip Hop, RnB, Bhangra and Bollywood tunes on the planet.
Stand Up! The Original Tandoori Kings of Comedy takes place on November 8, 2014 at the Bell Performing Arts Centre in Surrey. Doors open at 7pm; the show kicks off at 8pm.
