Dr. Raghbir Singh Bains Recognized With Community Crusader Award

SURREY – An eminent community activist Dr Raghbir Singh Bains received the Community Crusader Award 2014 at the 5th Annual Extraordinary Achievement Awards ceremony held by a local Indo-Canadian magazine. The award was bestowed upon Bains for serving the global community for more than 25 years, with his volunteer research work and free service to the society.

Dr. Bains, who has provided drug therapy to addicts, has globally contributed to the wellbeing of the entire society for curbing the menace of drugs, domestic violence, female assaults, flesh trading, female foeticide and racial discrimination.

He has done extensive research on HIV-AIDS in Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya. He constantly moves around the world to curb the deadly disease by creating awareness about its root causes.

Dr. Bains travelled dozens of countries in the world and has arranged hundreds of seminars, conferences, youth camps and community campaigns to educate the youth so that they become contributing members of the society to establish peace and prosperity in the world. He has produced a lot of publications and is writer of many classic books. He uses different media to serve the global communities.

Dr. Bains is one of the most prominent Sikh personalities in the world and has been honoured with hundreds of local, national and international awards and titles including the Order of British Columbia, Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, Sikh Scholar of Computer Age, Good Citizen of Surrey, Lifetime Achievement Award, Mother Teresa Service Award and Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award in recognition of his long years of selfless service offered to the people of Canada and beyond its borders.
