CHANDIGARH – The state government has constituted an organising committee for the 5th Kabaddi World Cup. The tournament is set to be held from December 5. Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has been made the chief patron and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal the chairman of the committee.
Spokesman for the event said that Balwinder Singh Bhunder, MP, and Sikander Singh Maluka, Rural Development and Panchayat Minister, would be the senior vice chairmen; Bikram Singh Majithia, Revenue Minister, Pawan Kumar Tinu, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Sports & Youth Services and MLA Pargat Singh the vice chairmen.
The other members of the committee among others are Chief Secretary Sarvesh Kaushal, Manvesh Singh Sidhu and Ajay Mahajan, both Special Principal Secretaries to Deputy Chief Minister and Deputy Commissioners concerned.
Puneet Chandhok will be the co-coordinator and Director, Sports, Punjab, will be the organising secretary of the Organising committee.
