Indo-Canadian Youth Stabbed To Death In Surrey

SURREY -An Indo-Canadian youth was stabbed to death in the Fleetwood area of Surrey on Thursday,

Seventeen-year-old Jaylen Sandhu has been identified as a the victim and police said Sandhu’s next-of-kin has been notified.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in to lead the murder  which occurred on December 18 in the 16300 block of 88 Avenue, Surrey.

Mounties were called just after 2:00 pm to the Fleetwood area Thursday afternoon and found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim Sandhu was able to run away from the scene and sought assistance from a nearby residence.  He was then transported to the hospital but he succumbed to the injuries he sustained a short time later.

The suspect fled the scene and there have been no arrests affected in connection to this homicide.

There were also reports of gunfire in the area of the stabbing, but Mounties said they have not been able to confirm whether shots were fired.
