LOS ANGELES – Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra has signed a one-year TV development deal with ABC Television Studios. Chopra, known to Bollywood fans all over the world for Hindi blockbusters such as “Krrish” and “Don,” is to topline an ABC series  developed for her or star in an existing project targeted for next fall.

Besides acting, she also launched a singing career and signed with Interscope Records/Desi Hits, and her “In My City” is the NFL’s theme song.

“I’ve been a long-time fan of ABC shows, and an admirer of how the network has changed the landscape of TV through the diversity of their lead characters,” Chopra said in a statement. “I am honored by the opportunity to share my talent with a game-changing network.”

Chopra has more than 45 hits, including one of the all-time Hindi blockbusters, “Krrish,” well as its two sequels, “Don” and “Barfi.” Her latest film, “Mary Kom,” premiered at Toronto last fall.
