Yellow Cab elected a new board of directors for 2015-2016. The new board includes President Kulwant Sahota, Satnam Jaswal, Manjit Pabla, Randeep Sahota and Nirmal Sidhu. The election was held Tuesday night and a victory party was held the same evening at Fraserview Hall in Vancouver.
Carnival Fiesta
The Carnival Cultural Club celebrated 20 years of family fun with Carnival Fiesta last Saturday in Surrey with a parade, music, dance and food. Funds raised go towards setting up scholarships.
Spring Banquet
North China Association of Canada held a Spring Banquet 2015 with a packed event of more than 1000 people at Fraserview Hall last Saturday night. Among the participants include Col. Harjit Singh Sajjan, who is running for the Justin Trudeau Liberals in Vancouver South in the upcoming election.
Lunar Celebrations
It’s the year of the Goat and no we are not talking about Premier Christy Clark. This year’s Chinese New Year is celebrating the Goat-Sheep which is supposed to bring you prosperity and other good things. Floata restaurant was again the location for the Lunar kick off celebrations which was attended by Clark, all smiles from her balanced budget thanks to rise in taxes and user fees. She is prospering politically for sure!
