Even though it was forecast as rain for last Saturday, the weather held up beautifully in keeping with Vaisakhi Parade day and for once allowed for a large crowd to take part in the first of the two Vaisakhi parades in the lower mainland. The Surrey Khalsa Day parade, the biggest in the world, will take place today in Surrey.
