Little ones will get a big kick out of the family friendly Home. Hey, but what else would you expect from reliable 20th  Century Fox and trendsetting Dreamworks Animation. Check out the comical  chaos, in 3-D no less, at Cineplex odeon theatres around B.C.

Home is where the heart is. Check that – unless you’re a wonderful space  bring with a blimpy figure. Goofy humour highlights the riotous colony of  Boovs who are locked in a bitter battle to survive with the dark and menacing Gorg.  To survive the Boovs hide out. Whine enemy lines, going from planet to planet. When they reach Earth all bets are off as the oafish Boov named Oh miraculously become entangled with a down in her luck earthling called Tif. Impressive voice work from talented Jim Parsons and chart topping showstopper Rihanna deliciously flesh out these animated dynamos as the pair embark on a series of getaway adventures.

Harmless fluff with a great and soulful message on the importance of family gives Home it’s heart. Director Tim Johnson (Antz) sets the right tone and let’s the creative juices flow seamlessly in this sharply written playful lark that will keep kids busy for 94 colourful minutes. Made in 3-D though you will get just as much impact and enjoyment through normal screen interludes.
