SACTRAMENTO – Two Indo-American men have been found guilty of not only kidnapping a woman from her Sacramento, California home 3 years ago but of committing multiple sexual assault charges.

Cousins Sarabjit Singh Sandhu and Rajdev Singh Purewal, who kidnapped a Sacramento woman, drove her nearly 40 miles while raping the woman for 5 hours, were convicted of the horrendous crime and now face 475 years in jail.

They blindfolded the woman, tied her up and forced medication inside her revealed the documents from the Sacramento Superior Court.

Sandhu and Purewal drove her for approximately 40 miles and took turns raping and forcing her into oral and anal sex for five hours.

They released her north of Sacramento and she reported the offenses.

The prosecution said a DNA database linked Sandhu to the crimes eight months later. Purewal was identified as the second suspect three months after that through phone records and other evidence, including DNA evidence.

Separate juries convicted Sandhu and Purewal each of 20 counts of forcible sexual intercourse, oral copulation, sodomy and kidnapping for the purpose of committing rape.

The juries also found true charges of kidnapping, binding the victim and acting in concert with one another during the commission of each offense, the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office reported.

Sandhu and Purewal face a possible sentence of 475 years in prison.
