The 26-year-old woman, returning from a funeral of a relative, was first raped by two men who offered her a ride on their tractor and then she was raped again by a motorcyclist whom she had sought support to take her to the police station.
ABOHAR – A 26-year-old woman was allegedly raped twice last night in Sriganganagar, near here. The victim has lodged a complaint at the Raisinghnagar police station.
In her complaint, she said she had gone to attend cremation of a relative at Gajsinghpur. She was anxious to return home as both her children were alone. A relative dropped her at the bus stand in Gajsinghpur at 9 pm. Later, two persons on a tractor offered her a lift, which she took. They allegedly halted the tractor on roadside after half-an-hour drive and raped her in fields.
She said she managed to free herself from there and requested a biker to escort her to the police station. He halted his motorcycle near a petrol pump on the Srivijaynagar road and allegedly raped her.
Raisinghnagar police station in charge Arvind Bishnoi escorted the victim to the crime scenes and recorded her statement. A case has been registered. The victim was medically examined.
Police teams have been formed to nab the accused as two of them have been identified, sources said.
