BATHINDA – Eight days after it initiated a strike against the alleged corruption in the judicial system, the District Bar Association named three judges in a resolution, a copy of which was sent to the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The lawyers demanded a strong action against the three judges. “The judges have been indulging in corrupt practices, which will not be tolerated,” said DBA secretary Kanwaljit Kuti.
A Sessions Judge named by the lawyers denied the allegations. He said the lawyers had a word with him and then they discussed the issue openly, which was unfortunate. All these judges were rude towards their staff, besides lawyers and litigants, the lawyers alleged.
