The President of Surrey-Newtown Rotary Club with fellow Rotarians presented a cheque to Kuldip K. Ardawa, a Manager at the Surrey-North Delta Food Bank recently. The Surrey Newtown Rotary Club has been champion in raising a fantastic $3,150.00 for the Food Bank. They also raised 2011 lbs of food. Their gifts and donations could not have come at a better time as due to the 4 day power outrage a lot of food was ruined and had to be discarded leaving the shelves of the food bank almost empty. Their compassionate efforts will enable the Food Bank to purchase much needed food items and baby food. For the past 5 years the Surrey-Newtown Rotary Club on an annual basis have raised thousands of dollars and many thousand pounds of food to benefit the families in our community who are struggling to make ends meet on low-incomes. Without the support and dedication of such compassionate and thoughtful groups the food bank would not be able to help those who ask for help. Ardawa presented the President and the club with an Appreciation certificate to acknowledge their tireless efforts and generosity.
