Community activist Amy Ghuman Sara and friends hosted a special dinner for top Bollywood and Punjabi singer Jaspinder Narula following her well received show at Surrey Bell Centre on Saturday. Narula comes from a great family of musicians with her father being a legendary music director-producer K. S. Narula, who worked with many top Punjabi singers of his era.
Narula spoke passionately about women’s rights, especially in India where women face the most cruel fate of emotional and physical abuse! She talked about her early days and reminisced about the music industry! There was no shortage of praise showered upon her by her well wishers which included Amy who also works hard to empower women here with many great events!
