Randip Sarai entered the race in the NDP held riding of Surrey Centre late but according to his media and on-ground people – Sarai has caught up quickly and now is in neck and neck with the incumbent Jasbir Sandhu. Sarai did a door to door blitz and had some high profile guests like former Liberal MP Herb Dhaliwal drop by in the riding. Sarai credits his team of volunteers ‘that have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks to bring the Liberal message of Trudeau to this riding that has been under-represented for years now.
“The concerns are the same in this riding no matters what the persons background. It’s all about jobs, tax cuts & crime. The Liberal platform is the only one giving the working families of this riding a chance to grow. The NDP and Conservative platforms offer no such tax cuts. We are also increasing the Child Benefit paid to families, which will not be taxed,” Sarai said.
