Veteran Indo-Canadian Actor BK Singh Rakhra Stars In The Last King

SURREY – Veteran Indo-Canadian actor Bhavkhandan Singh Rakhra (B.K.SINGH) , who began doing Punjabi theater at age 16 in high school before immigrating to Canada in 1974, will hit the silver screen next week with a starring role in the Indo-Canadian film The Last King.

BK Singh, who completed his graduation studies in Vancouver and received two certificates from British Columbia Institute of Technology in management, continued with his passion for acting, doing both stage and screen over more than two decades.

He told the LINK he studied acting through acting institutions in Vancouver area and also learned by reading books on acting and film making.

He said he is very fortunate to work with the well known directors from Punjab, Bombay and Canada, including The Last King, which was shot in Canada, has over 250 visual effects. This film is in English and it took them 13 years to make this the film a reality for the producers.

“I have been acting in mainstream films, TV, theater, commercials and print shoots since 2007,” he said “I acted in professional Punjabi theater earlier from 1974 to 2007 in Vancouver B C Canada.”

BK has acted in more than 31 feature and short films, 65 TV serials. Many TV commercials print modeling and voice over work in last 10 years.

This is big encouragement for me to be a main STAR in this Big Hollywood English feature film based on historical facts. I have acted guest star, large principle roles in many films, TV serials.
