Burnaby Hindu Temple’s 45th Diwali Show was held on Saturday November 7 at Michael J Fox Auditorium, Burnaby. Multinational ethnic entertainment was applauded with cheers by the audience at the sold-out Show. There was food, dances, songs, music and entertainment by the participants as young as three years old. $408,000 was raised as donations at this Diwali Show to complete the construction of the new Hindu Temple under construction at 5420 Marine Drive, Burnaby. The New 31000 Sq. Ft. Temple and Community Centre when completed will be one of the largest Hindu Community and Cultural Centre in North America. There will be Prayer Hall, Dining Hall each with capacity of over 800 persons, Auditorium/Wedding Hall for 324 seated persons, Multi purpose Room For Seniors, Satsangs, Birthday celebrations, Meetings etc. There will be Library and classrooms for Hindi Classes; Suites for Priests and out- of- town guests, professionally landscaped grounds with 147 parking stalls, Elevators and handicapped facilities.
