During the holidays it’s a time for celebration. Countless sports fans tune in To the NFL. Odds are good that the brass at the corporate head office of America’s Sunday afternoon pastime won’t be too thrilled with the new movie Concussion. Good news is that this film is important, informative, highly entertaining and one of the bet films of the year. Praise is due Columbia Pictures for making this film, now playing at Cineplex Odeon cinemas across B.C,

Inspired by a true story Concussion tracks the path of a lowly Immigrant  doctor who turns his coroner practice into s cause célèbre for football players dying from injuries caused by their job descriptions. Dr. Bennet Omalu lives by the motto do the right thing.  Versatile Will Smith  again gives an outstanding  performance as the the good doctor who  a link between dying ball players and head injuries that leads to a chain of events pitting the  assumed nobody against an extremely powerful well loved famed  institution.

Bolstered by a fantastic supporting cast including Alec Baldwin, Albert Brooks and hot relative newcomer  Gugu Mbatha-Raw  Concussion will cause waves to be sure. Solid on field action and  tense chemistry blends with a passion for the game and the pursuit of justice to make this  two hour journey unforgettable,
