VANCOUVER – The New Democratic Party launched it’s first hard-hitting paid advertising in the by-election campaigns currently underway in Coquitlam-Burke Mountain and Vancouver-Mount Pleasant.

Taking aim directly at Premier Christy Clark and the BC Liberals, the ad shows a series of headlines with a voice-over reminding voters of empty promises, scandals and under-funding of schools and hospitals.

“We are hearing from people on the doorsteps in Coquitlam and Mount Pleasant that people feel Christy Clark cares more about photo-ops than hard-working families,” said NDP Provincial Director Michael Gardiner.

“This ad articulates those feelings and calls on voters to send a message to the premier by voting for the NDP.”

In the first 20 hours since it was posted, the ad was viewed more than 12,000 times.
