Bibi Veeran of Port Coquitlam passed away on February 20.
She was born on February 15, 1935 in Dabthu village, Kasur tehsil, Lahore district (now in Pakistan).
She is survived by her husband Karam Singh Dhanwant and daughters Nisha Rai, Kiku Dhanwant and Chantal Miller.
She was the adopted daughter of famous freedom fighter Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna of Amritsar. Her brother was Comrade Arjan Singh Mastana of Gharala village, Amritsar district.
Her funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 28 at 3 p.m. at Five Rivers Funeral Home in Delta.
Bhog will follow at Gurdwara Khalsa Diwan Society in Surrey’s York Centre.
