Burnaby RCMP detachment said Const. Paul Pabla is accused in two incidents, both of which took place while he was off-duty. Pabla has been suspended from duty, and internal Code of Conduct investigations have been launched.

BURNABY – An Indo-Canadian RCMP officer from Burnaby has been charged with two counts of impaired driving.

Few details have been confirmed, but the Burnaby RCMP detachment said Const. Paul Pabla is accused in two incidents, both of which took place while he was off-duty.

“Given the matters are before the court, no further comment will be provided at this time,” the force said in a statement.

Pabla has been suspended from duty, and internal Code of Conduct investigations have been launched.

The officer is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Surrey next Thursday and on March 10.
