Prominent Indian Human Rights Lawyer & Activist H. S. Phoolka was honoured by members of the Indo-Canadian community in Surrey and Global Village Charitable Foundation last Saturday at Surrey’s Aria Banquet Hall. According to organizers, Phoolka was on a personal visit to Canada to meet his supports and admirers but it’s a well known fact that his visit had to do with his political party AAP, which seeks to make a run at taking power in Punjab with many saying that Phoolka should be projected as a possible Chief Minister. Phoolka addressed a packed crowd of over 1500 women and men at the Surrey rally.
