Robinder Virk’s body was found in South Delta, a victim of murde.

SURREY – An Indo-Canadian man who went missing in Surrey in January was found murdered at a home in South Delta in early March, say Delta Police.

On Feb. 3, Surrey RCMP issued a plea to the public to help find Robinder Virk who had last been seen a month earlier at 72 Avenue and 120 Street.

Police and family were concerned because it was out of character for the 32-year-old to be out of touch with family for that long.

On March 3, the Delta Police Department said they found a body at a home in the 2000-block of Tsawwassen Drive in South Delta.

Delta Police are now saying the death was a murder. Police also believe it was a targeted killing and that the threat to the public is deemed to be low.

As this matter is now deemed a homicide investigation, no further details are being released at this time.

Delta Police are asking anyone with information about what led to the homicide of Virk. Call the Delta Police at 604-946-4411 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca.
