Recently retired teacher and tireless promoter of Punjabi language Deep Singh Sangra was honoured by the staff and students of Queensborough Middle School in New Westminster on April 20. At a school assembly, his former students and colleagues paid a very fitting tribute to Sangra for his dedication and commitment. It was a very emotional occasion for the educator who retired after serving in the school system for 30 years. The school assembly was followed by a reception in his former classroom by the students and staff. It was a very fitting tribute to Sangra’s for his service to his school, the New Westminster School District and the community.
Happy retirement, Deep Singh!
