Free Eye Health Clinic Held In Vancouver

VANCOUVER – Canadian Eyesight Global organized a Free Eye Health Clinic at Khasa Diwan Society, Vancouver, on Sunday April 17, sponsored by Rotary Club Surrey-Guildford, Rotary Club of Burnaby.

The Canadian Institute of Blind (CNIB) represented by Jennifer Yankanna, Manager, Community Giving participated. A dedicated team of Dr. David Neima, MD, FRCS (C) , Ophth, V.P.Overseas Programs, Canadian Eyesight Global,Dr.Alica Ramirez and Warren Whitford participated. Tanveer Sohal, MPH, Chairperson, community services, Western Canada , along with a dedicated team of Volunteers Darshan Mann, Vicki S. Thind, Amarjit S. Dishu, Rtn. Satwant K Ginder, director CEG, Rtn. Kulwant Sekhon, R.C. Burnaby, Rtn. Garry Sass, R.C.Surrey-Guildford, Neena K. Sohal, Saroop K.Jubbal, and other dedicated volunteers.

Anup Singh Jubbal, MSM, President Canadian Eyesight Global, extends special thanks to all the doctors, volunteers, CNIB staff and administration of Khalsa Diwan Society for their full cooperation and support. Over 100 people’s eye were screened. Free eye drops were givento the patients and patients with major eye problems were referred to thespecialists eye surgeons for further treatment and investigation.

Appeal For An Eye Hospital in Punjab: Canadian Eyesight Global is making an appeal to the Indo-community to establish an Eye Hospital in Punjab to help the needy helpless and less fortunate people for restoration of eyesight and avoidable blindness center in Punjab.
