Police Recently Released Pictures Of SUV In Hopes Of Identifying The Driver!

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) released photos of a gold or silver SUV last Friday, asking the public to help identify its driver. IHIT said they wish to speak to the driver of vehicle, which appears to be a Chevrolet Trail Blazer. But so far there hasn’t been much of a breakthrough in Vancouver Sikh leader and well known developer Amar Sandhu.

VANCOUVER – Police released photos of a vehicle believed to be connected to the murder of a well known Sikh leader Amarjit Singh “Amar” Sandhu, who was deeply involved in Gurdwara politics at Ross Street temple in Vancouver.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) published photos of a gold or silver SUV last Friday, asking the public to help identify its driver.

IHIT said they wish to speak to the driver of vehicle, which appears to be a Chevrolet Trail Blazer.

The driver is sought in connection with the June 4 shooting at a busy Richmond plaza, which killed Sandhu, a wealthy B.C. real estate developer reportedly worth upwards of $100 million

Sandhu, who was also known for his philanthropy with Guru Nanak’s Free Kitchen, was just steps from his truck when he was gunned down at approximately 6 p.m. The 56-year-old was rushed to hospital but died a short time later.

Sandhu is the owner of Sandhill Developments, a residential and commercial construction company passed in Richmond.

Police believe he was killed in a targeted hit.

The shooting was witnessed by dozens of people at Ironwood Plaza, who told police varying accounts of the events.

At the time, IHIT said the suspect had been described as a man in his 20s, who is approximately 6′ with a slender build. He was wearing a light-coloured hooded sweatshirt or coat, and may have been wearing a baseball hat.

The LINK recently asked: So who murdered Sandhu? And was the murder on Tuesday of well known former Vancouver gangster Sukh Deo in Toronto, three days after Sandhu was gunned down, in any way connected to Sandhu’s murder?

Sukh Deo is the nephew of former Ross Street Gurdwara president Sohan Singh Deo. Sukh Deo’s father Parminder Deo is on the Interpol list of wanted suspects by Punjab-India police in connection with the Bhola drug cartel case but he has said he is innocent. So are there any connections between the Sandhu and Deo murders? A member of the ruling moderate executive opposed to changes Sandhu was seeking at the temple told CBC News the shooting is unrelated. “To my knowledge just for the sake of an election nobody would take such a big risk,” Ranjit Hayer with the Khalsa Diwan Society told CBC.

Sandhu, who had projects reportedly worth over a $100 million currently, was gunned down in a shocking brazen daylight gang-style professional hit at Richmond’s Ironwood plaza Saturday, June 4 after he had spent the day doing charity work like feeding the homeless in downtown eastside and looking after the membership drive for the Ross Street Gurdwara’s upcoming elections.

So far there are no suspects but Homicide investigators have released a vague suspect description of the man who carried out the hit.

The suspect is described as a man in his early to mid-20s, approximately 6’0 with a slender build, and was wearing a light-coloured hooded sweatshirt or coat, and possibly a baseball hat. Investigators have not released more specific defining characteristics of the person responsible, including their race, hair or eye colour.

Was the murder on Tuesday of well known Vancouver gangster Sukh Deo in Toronto, two days after Sandhu was gunned down, in any way connected to Sandhu’s murder?

Sukh Deo, an alleged cocaine dealer from Vancouver who gained recent infamy for being kicked out of a Raptors playoff game, was also shot in a brazen daytime shooting in downtown Toronto. Deo had recently moved to Toronto to start a trucking company, but was involved with dealing drugs, police said.

So are there any connections between the Sandhu and Deo murders?

An member of the ruling moderate executive opposed to changes Sandhu was seeking at the temple told CBC News the shooting is unrelated.

“To my knowledge just for the sake of an election nobody would take such a big risk,” said Ranjit Hayer with the Khalsa Diwan Society.

Sandhu is the owner of Sandhill Developments, a residential and commercial construction company based in Richmond. In recent years, Sandhu built commercial plazas, several townhouse complexes and many single-family homes.
