The Lakshmi Narayan Hindu mandir in Surrey held their annual fundraiser in Surrey last weekend which brought out the vote-seeking Premier Christy Clark given that coming year is an election year. The fundraising effort is to collect funds for upcoming new projects at the Mandir. The programs included a great depiction of “RAMAYANA” by Shiamak Dance Group, Vancouver. Fashion Designer “Parvesh Jai” put on a fashion show focused on Indian ethnic, traditional and wedding dresses. The evening was given a musical turn by DakshKubba and his live Band. The event was also attended by other dignitaries like MP Sukh Dhaliwal.
