Dear Editor:
The Multifaith Action Society unequivocally condemns the senseless act of violence and hatred that claimed the lives of six innocent Muslim Canadians this past Sunday at the Centre Culturel Islamique de Quebec. We want to extend our deep condolences and prayers to the families of the deceased and enjured; and assure the Muslim community that we stand with you in solidarity at this difficult time. We embrace all religions and spiritual orientations, and are steadfast in our belief that dialogue and cooperation between people of different cultures provides the antidote to fear and hatred.Multiculturalism is an integral part of our Canadian value system and social fabric, and we hope that people of all faiths and cultures can join together in condemning violence in the name of religion and cultivate culture of love,respect and harmony.
