RICHMOND—A new CBC tracker poll says Richmond Queenborough NDP  candidate Amandeep Singh Chandi  has an edge to win the seat over broadcaster-turned Christy Clark LNG pitchman Jas Johal, who’s running for the BC Liberals.

Chandi, a Human and civil rights who grew up in Hong Kong and he now practises law in the lower mainland, including working with the Aboriginal community, earlier told the LINK he’s running to defeat Christy Clark and the BC Liberals because they have been in power too long and have become arrogant and irresponsible.

“Christy Clark isn’t working for people,” said Singh at his acclamation. “Every day people are paying more and getting less. I am proud to put myself forward to help defeat Christy Clark and form a government that works for everyone.”

“Aman Singh has what it takes to build a better BC,” said BC NDP Leader John Horgan.  “He has the leadership experience and community connections needed to stand up to Christy Clark.  We’re excited he wants to be a part of the BC NDP team in Richmond.”
