TORONTO – South Asian teen has been gunned down in the Toronto suburb of Mississauga.
Peel police are asking for the public’s assistance as they investigate the death of 24-year-old Nadeem Rahaman, who was shot on Monday evening in a residential area in Mississauga.
Police were called to Bishopstoke Lane near Meadows Boulevard at about 7 p.m. after they received a number of calls from people who heard shots being fired. According to police, Rahaman had “obvious signs of trauma” when they arrived.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police are calling Rahaman’s shooting an “isolated incident.”
Police say a four-door sedan was seen fleeing the area, and ask for anyone who was in the area or who might have security camera footage to contact the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau at 905-453-2121, ext. 3205 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
