SURREY – The Khalsa Digital Library (KDL) increased it’s digital footprint by launching a new App in an effort spread it world-wide. City of Surrey Mayor Linda Hapner was the chief guest at the special launch ceremony in Surrey on Wednesday.

KDL’s Baljinder Kaur briefly gave the background of this library and its work in the future while Sukhwinder Sandhu (Bill Sandhu) welcomed all the dignitaries and media persons present in the opening ceremony. Sandhu said that this library was inspired by Giani Dalip Singh, who used to bring books filled with knowledge to read them. Describing this as an exemplary task, Sandhu said that many years ago he had started a small library at this business location and due to the community’s support, it has now become digital.

On this occasion, Teerth Singh gave special information about the library App. He said that in this library, books related to religious, cultural, literary and all kind of literature are digitally placed and these books can be read in any corner of the world.
