The Consulate General of India, Vancouver in cooperation with over 20 Indian-Canadian Associations, cultural and literary societies in B.C. hosteda mega-cultural event “Namaste Canada 2017” on Sunday-Monday 3-4, September 2017 at the Bell Performing Arts Centre, Surrey.
The objective of the event was to bring together the Indian Diaspora around a common platform to celebrate India’s rich cultural &literary heritage and the flourishing ties between India and Canada. The event featured glimpses of India’s culture, music, dances and poetry.
Writers International Network under the leadership of Ashok Bhargava coordinated and arranged a poetic reading at the main stage during Namaste Canada 2017 with the help of Counsel Abha Gosain.
The main poets featured were Brajinder Dhillon, Shrinath Dwivedi, Ashok Bhargava and Narinder Bhagi (King of Ghazals). At the conclusion of the event Mohiner Kwatra, PRO of WIN thanked CGI, audience and poets.
